Million Dollar Quartet

For those who like this type of music I highly recommend the Million Dollar Quartet, a musical featuring spot on impersonators of the young, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and the Killer, Jerry Lee Louis, all circa 1956. It is currently playing at the Rivertown Theatre in Kenner. The show is basically a history of Sun Records in Memphis and centers around an impromptu jam session that actually took place one day in December 1956 when all four of these aspiring rock stars happened to find themselves in the Sun Records studio at the same time. The story is interesting, the music is great and the performers have the whole theatre rocking for almost two hours. Go see it if you can.
