Looking for my next set of powered speakers

My set up is a Fluance turntable with ort Blue cartridge and Edifier powered speakers.
The speakers were under 100 bucks off amazon and I think its time to upgrade em. Any recs?
I've heard audioengines are great but jeeesus they're steep.
