This dude is arguably one of the greatest American guitarists of all time. (Come at me bro)
I love Poison and even CC, but let's not oversell him. He did do some stellar work on Life Goes on and Something to Believe in.

I think he was also brought in as a ringer on a Warrant song to do a solo (Cherry Pie, if memory serves). I remember thinking at the time that this had to represent some sort of excess that was too much to turn back from.

You should just make a thread being unapologetic about how good Poison is. For my money, still the greatest power ballad is I Won't Forget You. Simple but awesome. Even the solo is simple perfection.

He was indeed a badass. He was brought on tour virtually overnight and had to learn all of Randy's songs on the spot. Incredible.

The release of Smells Like Teen Spirit was a death knell for the waning days of hair metal. It was like a tko to what was left of cheesy 80's metal at that time.
