The lyrics are a poem I wrote about one of my ex-girlfriends who was Japanese. Her name was, "Yumi".

Can you break down a list of the songs you wrote vs your brother? I think it's getting muddled in the back and forth.

My brother and I just finished working together on the lyrics for our new song called, "A Street Musician's Song".

Reminds me of this song from real musicians

No offense to the real singers and musicians but I liked the lyrics and music of my song, "You Me" better.

I have one serious question
Have you ever heard of Feist or Jeff Tweedy??

ETA- dang it I misspelled Tweedy. I give up on this thread.

Not until their video was posted.

They may be good singers and musicians but all I'm saying is my song "You Me" has better lyrics and music than their song "You and I".

BTW, have you ever heard of the band, "SLEEZE"?

No, SLEEZE was a 3 man band that played in San Francisco in the 70s. Their lead singer and lead guitar was Tim Taggart who was also known as Scoville. He played an incredible blues/rock guitar.

They played in a battle of the bands against Eddie Money. It was a voice vote and Eddie Money barely won because he had more of his fans there. The winner got a record contract. That's how Eddie Money got started.

SLEEZE just continued to play in San Francisco and was one of those great bands that never made it big.

Mike Wilhelm who was one of the founding members of "The Charlatans" was a good friend of Tim Taggart and he loved the band. I was also a good friend of Tim's and I worked for a while at the door collecting the entrance fee to get in. I met Mike Wilhelm several times when SLEEZE played on Haight Street but at the time I didn't realize he was a member of "The Charlatans". I thought he was just another person who liked the band.
