She is proof that people should not give up. She didn't even make it out of Hollywood week on American Idol.
Ironically, she proved that not only is she world class, she is a tremendous person by going back on the show this past season and mentoring the top remaining singers. Every single one of them came on stage that week and improved leaps and bounds from the coaching she provided. Not once did she even mention her Idol past, nor did the show do a segment on it. You just saw her working with each upcoming artist, helping them in so many different ways and then watch them come out and show unbelievable improvement. She was spot on every time.
Hard not to be a fan of hers. Great voice and person. She's the real deal in all respects.

She grew up on seafood & gumbo, not bangers & mash. There’s no reason for her to sound like a British girl, except for an obviously put on vocal affectation.
