Lafayette's own Lauren Daigle

Apparently she is reaching Amy Grant levels of fame in the Christian music category. She also happens to be very good. Her latest album Look Up Child, released September 7, 2018, debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 behind Paul McCartney and Eminem. Not too shabby for a Christian artist from down I-10. She is certainly channeling Adele (although her voice isn't as powerful). She is in the "Christian" genre, but not the "Praise Music" or "Worship Music" genres (of which most is terrible).

I'm as "Christian" as a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich, but I kind of dig this chick.

Let's hope she doesn't turn into a homewrecker like Amy Grant.
