Kris Krisstofferson on Monday at Manship...Jamey Johnson last night at L’Auberge...

Two of the most surprisingly satisfying concerts I’ve been to within a single week’s time.

Kristofferson brought Hag’s band-and two of his sons-The Strangers on tour with him and played a few hits of his to boot. Then Jamey Johnson brought an ailing Randy Travis out to surprise the crowd before singing two songs in tribute to him.

Just a lot of unexpectedly great music mixed in with some great music I already expected. Who would’ve thought little old Baton Rouge was capable of pulling artists like that through here...
