one of the coolest things i ever got to do was see him back in 2011 after OD dropped. he was performing at this smallish venue in LA and only like 750 people were there. kind of crazy looking back on that considering where he is now

I'd venture to say that at least 70% of the people that buy hip hop albums/music and attend concerts are white. There's been a few studies that suggest the vast majority of hip hop consumers are white folks. A lot of that can be attributed to 80% of the country being white, but it's also a generational thing. Hip hop music and culture resonates with younger people.
