just picked up my first Sennheiser headphones

These headphones cost me $99 at Guitar Center, and they are by far the best headphones I have ever listened to.
got the HD280's
i always knew Beats by Dre was garbage, but always thought Bose was legit, had some AE2's for like 5 years and loved them, but jesus, the sound these HD280's are putting out blows everything i have ever tried away.

Any brand that spends that much on advertising has less to put into their actual product. Bose has a great marketing campaign and over-priced products. Sennheiser is way better, so is Sony.

I use my 280s all the time. Great inexpensive cans for tracking. They are also a great live reference set for the price.
