I went to my first JAB show a few weeks back and was pleasantly surprised...I'm not really into his music but my friend plays fiddle and another runs his sound, so I thougjt I'd give them a shot. Josh definitely knows how to work a crowd amd puts on a great show.
My buddy Rob is opening for them and he's good too. Should be a good time.
I'll be interested in seeing how they do in Baton Rouge...Josh sells out the majority of the venues he plays in TX, but I know BR is weird about Texas country...

i saw them with miranda lambert and wade bowen about 2 months ago and liked em live. then i started listening to some of their studio stuff and thought it was a completely different band.
but then again most acts like that do tend to put on a better live show.

Wade is extremely underrated. One of the best voices out there, as well as a hell of a nice guy. I'm pretty good friends with a bunch of his band/crew members so I find myself at a lot of his shows. He's awesome.

wade from what ive seen is a super nice guy i remember him and rrb came to the hangar in nola about 2004 there was probably more ppl on stage than in attendance it was my frosh year of college we drove down from BR and that nigh wade opened after his show me and Badbrad8504 sat and talked with him the rest of the night. the next night they both played at freds @ tigerland and he and his manager snuck a few of us in the back door as "crew".

That is a cool story and is not at all out of character for those two.
Hard to believe Randy went from that to playing for a record crowd over Labor Day weekend. They sold out a 6000+ venue and over 700 were turned away. He's come a long way.

Whiskey Dan (Josh's sound engineer) just told me the turnout was great and they had a lot of fun.
He also sent me a picture of the opener's van and trailer after they finished saran-wrapping them. Did anyone happen to see that? Poor Rob.
