This guy is the end all be all of guitarists for me. He is by far the greatest guitarist i have ever seen in my lifetime and i worship the ground he walks on. I was so lucky to see RHCP before he left. He is the reason i play guitar and he is with out a doubt my favorite guitarist. Before haters fill this thread, I'm not arguing with the classic rock gods and I'm not saying he is better than Hendrix, he is just my personal favorite guitarist. Combined with Flea, they are my favorite duo. Yeah, I'm a fan of RHCP.
Any guitarist (or any fan of Frusciante) should watch these, they kick arse:

Tips, tricks, and pointers on how to play rhythm, lead, and solo by the man himself
He teaches you how to play Dani California as well as why he wrote it and some tips and tricks on playing guitar

Are you a fan of his solo stuff? I have a whole thread on it. He's coming out with an EP and LP this year.

Absolutely, I have tried to get everything the man has done from solo stuff to RHCP to Ataxia to Swahili Blonde (I bought Man Meat and Psycho Tropical Ballet Pink last week.)
