3rd time seeing Fogerty at Jazz Fest in last 10 years. He puts on one of the greatest shows of all performers at Jazz Fest. I was fortunate to be up close in VIP section today especially in shade!
Today he played a mixture of his greatest hits along with several other artist’s songs in a tribute to 50 years after his performance at Woodstock in 1969. He played till 7:15 pm, 15 minutes after scheduled ending and put on one hell of a show!! And the best part of all was NO political commentaries!

Thank god. Wouldn’t want you to need your safe space.

That was the best part? He didn't sing Fortunate Son?

Fogerty did sing Fortunate Son. And he did talk a lot between songs telling stories mostly about Woodstock. But he didn’t go into any political narratives like Santana, Springsteen, Bono and many others. I pay to hear their music not their political messages. Fogerty was great.

2 best Jazz Fest sets I've ever seen in 30 years.

1. John Fogerty 2019
2. John Fogerty 2016

Amazing his voice is so preserved at that age.

Hobnailboot, agree but his best show as I remember was the first time he appeared at Jazzfest somewhere between 2011 and 2013. Can’t remember exact year. Left there saying it was the best show ever!! But I really think Aerosmith took that title last year. But Fogerty is 100% in the top 3 of all time at JF
