A Big Smile!

Check out the young buck jammin' in the back next to the drummer, he's gettin' it!

Jimmy's playing guitar. Turn it up, waaaay up. It's him, definitely him. That band must have been freakin' out, knowing they were playing silly music and having that big ole untamed stallion chompin' at the bit. Give it a good listen, turn it way up.

He was already grinding (a little) and wailing (it's there, hence the turn it up comment).

Doc, I wasn't sure whether or not you made this comment because there is no bass in that group, or, well, whatever.

Doc, there's a bass, but you can't hear him.

Jimi's holding it up more than anyone (and doing a whole hell of alot more).

Important All Star Jam that doesn't go awry

nice touch by SRV there emulating Slowhand's style before sliding back into his own.

I just may need one, hehe.

Jimi has a way of mimicking the bass line and doing rhythm that I just assumed it was him (listen real hard, you're obviously a bass man, he is inline with that 'tamed' thump almost continuously).

He was just so damned fast, but with rhythm.

motown bass tone is my absolute favorite so I certainly have an ear for it better than most I guess.

I have a hollowbody bass with flat wound strings

I don't know, to be honest, as I listened more I picked it up. I was so bent on Jimi, and how he 'seasoned' the song. Anyway, I may need an audiometer.
