Since we seem to have resident afficianados of pretty much every music type across all the decades, I was curious if it was obvious which acts more or less ended each one
Who shamelessly came along, ripped off the sound to cash in, made minor tweaks to the formula, exaggerated all the stereotypes, etc etc
I'll try and go back and edit to compile a list. even though I suck at that type of shite
For starters..
70's rock
70's punk
80'metal/hair
80's pop
90's alt/grunge
90's boy bands
00's bro country
Feel free to correct or add. I want to put rap in there but it seems to still be going pretty strong, even though I feel like we're currently hearing its death rattle
