Even by going from the DJ Mag top 100 he isn't top 25.

Much less the GOAT

DJs even more than bands is too subjective to have a say for who is/isn't the GOAT

But Prydz not even in consideration for top 10 much less GOAT

All that said, I did like an essential mix of his a few years back. Not as big into the 'scene" as I once was FWIW

EDM

Can we please stop using this blanket term. It also shows people who have been in this scene for a long time that you are a new jack to dance music.

Eric Prydz spins and produces House. While he is a really good producer, he is by no means the "GOAT". In your mind maybe, and that's fine, but he is not the greatest producer to produce dance music. I'm sorry, you just don't have enough experience to make that claim.

If the alternative is to get into mind-numbing discussions about the eleventeen hundred genres and sub-genres of EDM, and argue about whether a song is trance or progressive house or some shite, then no. Because I'd rather get kicked right square in the focking dick than get pulled into that vacuous pit. Find some music school dropouts if you want to have that circle-jerk of mental masturbation. Have a ball with it.

You assumed this, and you were wrong.

Dude I been slacking. Just got back from deployment and the toddler is keeping me busy. I'll post some new stuff soon.

I did get a night of clubbing down in London not to long ago. For defected in the house. So much deep house and techno it was amazing.

I love that "techno" is now a sub-genre of the genre that used to be called "techno".

So, yeah, to the guy who said I shouldn't use the blanket term EDM, I respectfully but emphatically submit that the alternative is much worse.

SCH: you going to any festivals this season?
