I liked it on first listen. Overall the songs aren't as fast tempo as lots of their big legacy songs. It's got a steamroller/juggernaut sound that is a good curveball. They've done the occasional long tune before - I expect at this point in their career they're not focused on making radio-friendly song lengths, so they felt like developing some longer musical ideas.
Bruce's vocals sounded a little lost in the mix, but I was listening on a so-so car system. Want to give it the next listen with headphones.

They usually will release a live album of the most recent tour and looking back, yes they actually “tour” the new album.
But you’re right they have to cut a lot of classics b/c they play so many new songs and some are pretty long.
I know they tour for the new album. But just how many songs will they play off of it is what I want to know.
I like all of Iron Maiden's music. I prefer the oldest. Iron Maiden through Powerslave and would like to hear more of that. That's just me. It's going to be a kickass show no matter what they play.

Looking back over the last 9 album tours (as opposed to hits tours) they usually play 5-6 songs off the new album. The 2 exceptions being 4 on the Fear of the Dark tour and the whole album on Dance of the Dead.
Not sure how this would play out if the songs are longer. They may cut it to 4 new tracks.

Finally getting a chance to listen to it after dealing with all this hurricane shite. I like it so far, just haven’t had a chance to really dive into it.

It wasn't the system, I've noticed this myself. That's my biggest gripe so far, the mix just doesn't sound very good.
