I'm trying to find a Caprice Classic now. Bubble of course. Get the whip this year, put the 4's or 6's on it next summer

I agree. I'm partial to him because he's from the Sipp, but he has a Texas vibe to him as well. He's UGK, 8Ball & MJG, and Outkast rapped up into one Tracy Morgan lookin' motherfricker. He produces all of his beats and every single one of them are on point. Love to hit a backroad, take a blunt to the dome and just let his mixtapes play through, no skips.
Some of my favorites:
Me and My Old School
Neva Go Back
Made A lot
Highs and Lows
Rotation
Whoever said he is new is partially correct. Maybe new as in having a more widespread audience, but his mixtapes were circulating around my high school in 05-06. I've been on this cat for a hot minute. His new mixtape is dope but Returnof4Eva is his best work, IMO

My homeboy got his face tatted on him as support for the Big Krit movement
quote:
They Got Us All fricked Up
One of his cuddy buddies called him up and got him free
Say she got a check up and she had HIV
Said its all his fault, screaming wave her hand
Cause she got 2 kids and what about her man
He thought about his girl, hopped out his truck
Called her up and said it low as he could...I got us all fricked up
And in context of where he lives, Meridian, the highest hiv rates per capital in MS, makes that verse even more awesome.

They try to tell me that God ain't real
And a chain of big explosions is why I'm here
And an ape decided he wanted to walk upright
And leave the others apes in the jungle cuz he that tight
-My Interpretation

Not from MS but I shot a rap video for a local artist in Waynesboro. I enjoy Big Krit a lot but not qualified in current rap to make a proper assessment. MS rap has a laid back swag to it that I can get behind. Early David Banner "like a pimp" was the tits!

I just can't really get into the whole "Texas, swangin, drippin, dippin, tippin, screwed-up" repetitive stuff. I like older UGK, Scarface, and even a little Mike Jones...who? Mike Jones!!
I know, I know....1 is not like the others. But I just can't get into this other 3rd coast stuff, I've tried. I appreciate Big Krit and his niche, no doubt he's a talented dude, but I just can't get into that style. With his skills, I wish he was more like David Banner & Bubba Sparxxx instead of Paul Wall.
Eta: for some reason thought Bubba was from Mississippi as well.....

I like KRIT alot, but I think he watered down his appeal to the masses by dropping all those mixtapes, and I honestly think he should have dropped an album by now. Most albums today are just mixtapes with bigger budgets.
