Help! Question About PRS 59/09 Pickups vs HFS and V. Bass Pickups

Ok,
Here is the conundrum:
I've found a solid deal on a PRS custom 24. This baby has all the bells and whistles: 10top, COMPLETE Indian Rosewood Neck/Fretboard, and of course, all the other wonder things a PRS brings to my useless life. All at a price 500-1,000 cheaper than I can find (that range includes other extras with 10 top, etc).
Only "issue" it has 59/09 Pickups and not the HFS/VBass.
Other than the HFS pickups being "hotter", what else can anyone tell me when trying to compare the two?
Yes, I've googled and watched every effing demo I can find, but nothing that compares these two directly...

Would it cost $500-$1000 to replace the electronics? If not, do it.

No, it wouldn't. And I could probably get the HFS and V.Bass for just a hundred bucks or so if I ever wanted to go that route...

You can change pickups. You can't change wood.
