I am in the market for new headphones to be used with a phone/iPad, on-ear preferably. Y'all have any recommendations?

I use these. They sound great and are super comfortable. Audio Technica would be another brand to look into.

Sony MDR-7506 Pro Studio are the best sub $100 headphones I've heard. They are often cited as being industry standard for recording engineers and sound professionals for a reason since the early 90's. Extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time - highly recommend.

For ANC cans, Bose QC35 or Sony MDR-1000x are what I'm looking at right now - leaning Sony, but I could be swayed back to Bose for this particular product.

These are the best for the money, no one can deny, check out the reviews.
$15
But if you just want to spend money, you can't go wrong with sennheisser. They've been making speakers for 80 years! They do little marketing cause they don't have too. They make headphones $25-$25000.

I love my AKG Q701s, but you would need an amp for them.
