Yep. Went to a Guitar Expo here in Olrando last week, there were maybe 7 or 8 lefty guitars out of 3,000 … and I must've been the only lefty in the place. Pretty much as I expected.

I have to have mine made for me. I've given up on stock models. Plus, the skinny E is on top. The custom shops have a good time with that.

I'm a lefty and forced myself to learn right handed because that was all that was around me. Slower to start for sure but perfectly natural feeling now.

Same here. Had a guitar given to me when I was 10, made for right handed people of course. I initially played lefty, because it felt natural. Forced myself to play right.

I don't know how you guys did it, but I can tell who the guitar players are in the crowd by the way they turn their heads upside down to try to figure out what I'm doing.

Lefties are cool as frick. I wish I would've stuck with playing lefty, although there are far more options for right handed playing.
What kind of music do you play?

Lefty right here too. I see an all lefty band brewing.
Speaking of, I think Body Count had two lefty players at one point.

Agreed! We are unique. I'm a classicly-trained musician but learned gittar by playing to the ABB Live At Fillmore East while learning progressions from Jimmy Buffet, The Beatles and The Grateful Dead. I currently play in a pop rock band that plays almost all originals including some countryish stuff that is not even close to the crap on the radio. New rekkid coming out in about 3 weeks!

Got a link to hear it?
I'd post some of my stuff, but I don't want to give my name out on here. This is the only video I have or anything of me playing that doesn't have my name on it. It's about 2 years old, and kinda rough with shitty quality. LINK

There will be something up soon, but I won't link it here for the same reason you gave.

what I'm currently picking...
what I want....
I found a 1968 model at a shop that doesn't specialize in guitars...its like an antique shop...lady had it at $1800...it needed some love, but...is that a steal?...I seen them on Ebay for over $3K

Does it need a neck reset? Is the bridge lifting? Any cracks in the top? All things to be concerned with.

I'm in a band with two friends, we play out around once a month, although we're making a push for more gigs this year. I also play daily by myself and on weekends, weather permitting, I occasionally play at local parks.
My whole interest is in song writing; I have about 60 originals and a handful of covers. There's hardly a more satisfying feeling than writing a song you believe in and love to play. I think of it as God's gift to this poor son of a bitch.

I have a couple of friends that live within stumbling distance which is nice. It would suck not have anyone to play with.
Everything I try and write is garbage. I don't stick with it either. I'd like to remedy that.

Well, if you don't like what you write, you're obviously in a tough spot. But lots of people play only covers, or let their band mates do the writing, no shame in that. For example, I write most of the songs in my band because the other guys just aren't good at it. Same with singing--I'm the only one with a voice, so I do the singing.
If you want to stick with it though, the thing to do is--well, duh--write, write, write. I recall Neil Young saying that most of what he writes is garbage, so he keeps plowing through until he hits on something he believes in. And Neil has written, I believe, more than 500 songs.
At the least, keep playing: it's good for the heart, mind and soul. And good luck.

My advice would be to stick with it. It could be you're trying to write a certain style and that clips your wings as a writer. Just keep writing and don't try to be anyone else. When you find your "voice" the songs will come.

I have a decent arsenal of custom-mades by my buddy in Boise. I can't post them since my name is all over them. I have several others made by the usual suspects. These are not my actual gittars, but I have ones exactly like them except they're lefty models:
Taylor 414
Gibson Les Paul Standard
Gibson Les Paul Custom
Strat
Eastwood Classic 6
