Say you have a job (like mine) that can involve hours of sitting. Why waste those hours if I could be learning things? The catch is I do not want to bring my guitar and subject coworkers to this. Any lessons?
Anything helpful that I can watch? Music theory? Chord progressions, time signatures, scales and keys, how to stay in keys up
And down the neck, memorize fretboard, musical alphabet?
I shite you not. It is six hours a day somedays. What would you beginners do? What would you experienced guys do if you were given that time in the beginning?
I'm still plinking away. One day I feel like young Eric Clapton. The next, a 43 year old beginner.

It's great that you're so eager to "learn" the guitar. You will do well Grasshopper.
I'm sure you can use some of the time to find Songs that you can play when you get home.
Find good Chord Charts.I'm sure you'll figure out something to use this sitting time on.
Have fun and build up those finger-tip calluses.

My strumming sounds better. But to put it together in a song is my hurdle.
Many things have improved, but making the leap to sit down and play a song is not happening.
I even was able to figure out my a-minor with a G-bass. Which I thought was impossible.

I got so frustrated at times the 1st year..I put it down for 2 months.I've been playing 15 years so I guess I forget how much time I put into it.
You get a little better every time you practice.
A few of the 1st tunes I played.
Live---- Lightning Crashes
FFF CCC GGG GGG
FFF CCC GGG GGG
Bob Segar.....Night Moves
GGGGGGGG F CCCCCCCCCC F GGGGGGGGGGG F CCCCCCCCCCCCCC
For your Love....The Yard Birds
EM G A7 Am
EM G A7 Am
If you play an F like that it's an easy progression to play F C G.
