Guitar is sweating

I enjoy to play outside on the back porch and with the Houston heat when I step outside for the first time my guitar and amp start sweating lol. I guess my question is how bad is this humidity for equipment? Should I wipe it down? Not worry about it?

That's condensation forming from going from inside A/C to 90 plus degrees outside quickly. It can put a thin layer of moisture on electronic components too in both the guitar and the amp. The common harm I see from this situation is corrosion on and inside your guitar's pickup switch that can make it operate intermittently. Often an easy fix (flick the switch aggressively about three dozen times) but sometimes I have to replace them. A nice three-way toggle or a blade switch is $25 plus labor to put it in.
Same layer of corrosion and possibility for intermittence in the case of pots and jacks, on both guitars AND amps, but it's not as common.
I see guitars sweat all the time when guys bring me repairs that aren't cased or gig-bagged. Makes me facepalm people care enough for pay me to fix things but won't invest in something to protect their investment.

Condensation was the damn word I was looking for. Appreciate the reply FretShack! If I’m ever in the area would love to stop by your store. I was just curious if I was doing harm to my guitar/amp. I really do enjoy playing outside. Not sure my neighbors enjoy it though!

For years, I've been threatening to learn "The Star-Spangled Banner" so I can set up on the deck and wake everyone up on July Fourth.

There is something about playing outdoors to me that is awesome. I don’t know why but I just love to jam outside.

Are you sure it's not gently weeping?
