Anyone have experience/opinions with the Gretsch Streamliner hollow or centerblock guitars? I've been looking at them but I haven't had the chance to try one out at GC. I currently play a strat but like the look and sound of the hollow and semi-hollow bodies.

I was just playing one at guitar center in the heights a few days ago. I thought it was a nice guitar, I don't think it's really a pedal guitar if you're into that. They also have a red epiphone crestwood on sale which was a very fun guitar. Moral of the story, go to GC on I-10 and check it out.

The Gretsch imports are good values at their price points. I believe the current gen is made in Indonesia, and that Cor-tek factory puts out incredibly good guitars for their asking prices. I have a MII D'Angelico semi-hollow that slays guitars at 3x and 4x its street price.
Your best bet would be to buy one taking advantage of the box and online retailers' 30-day or similar guarantees/return policies and test drive one for yourself. Pretty much all of the big retailers carry the Gretsch imports. If the guitar doesn't work for you, send it back for a refund.
You may have to pay return shipping but that's a small price to cough up to be able to test an instrument in YOUR environs (your amp, your band rehearsal, your recording studio, etc.) with your own hands and ears and your own expectations.
