Falling in Reverse is literally the biggest rock/metal act on the planet right now.
LOL. They just released their first album in 7 years and have only 7 million followers on Spotify. That's a fair amount of followers, but far, far, far from being the biggest rock/metal/alternative act, however you define that genre (seems impossible to define)
There are bands I've never even heard of with that many and more followers.

Just because he’s not heard of in the household of posters on a message board whose average age is somewhere between WW2 and Korean War veteran, doesn’t mean an artist isn’t a household name most other places.
I'm not sure you grasp the concept of "household name."

Falling in Reverse has 7.3 million followers on Spotify, which ranks them No. 1408 in the world. They are ranked No. 32 in the Hard Rock/Metal category.

OK.

That's not household name territory.

Right. That's what I'm saying.

I know. I was agreeing with you and providing evidence.

Paul did write "Come and Get it" for Badfinger and it was a hit. Also I believe George used members of Badfinger as his backup band in his Concert for Bangladesh and I think they played on some of his albums. I think George even gave them his red Gibson SG. Mal might have been more of an influence, but Paul and George did not get in their way.
