She claims she spent four hours picking out vinyl for me.
The selection was overall hit-or-miss.
Some of the gems:
Jimi Hendrix Live at Monterrey
Led Zeppelin The Song Remains The Same
Kansas Leftoverture
The Beatles Let It Be (unfortunately I think I already own a copy)
Others:
Kansas Monolith
Crosby, Stills, and Nash CSN
Cat Stevens Back to Earth
Led Zeppelin In Through the Out Door
Dan Fogelberg Home Free
The Rolling Stones Made in the Shade (compilation)
I'm still very impressed and appreciative of her efforts. She said she would have bought me a brand new Mastodon or Deftones LP but she knows I have a reluctance to play new vinyl records.
A woman that buys you music is a beautiful thing.

Any Mayhem or Burzum? Bathory?

She's been with me to see the Melvins, Tool, Neurosis, Meshuggah, Opeth, and Gojira (admittedly for the latter three she stood at the back of the venue while I was up against the stage), but even that is a bit too out there for her to attempt to purchase.
If you're asking if I own any then the answer is 'no'. Most of my vinyl albums are folk, jazz, and classic rock. The only metal I have on vinyl is Dio's Dream Evil. I have the cover for Holy Diver but the record is missing.Pretty much all of my metal is on CD.
I'm still working my way into black metal as a whole. I'm honestly more of a fan of the atmospheric, pagan, and dark ambient blends by later bands. I know that Burzum was instrumental in incorporating some of these musical styles, but I think some of the later bands did a slightly better job and with superior production.

Varg was stubborn when it came to his early production. It is what it is though, had it not been for the infamy surrounding the black metal scene in the 90s, don't know how truly influential Burzum would be. But I personally enjoy it.
Should check out bands like Coldworld, Summoning, Drudkh, Negura Bunget, Værbitt, Basarabian Hills etc.

I agree. Reading Lords of Chaos and watching Until the Light Takes Us really sheds some light on the scene as a whole and thereby underscores Vikernes' impact on those around him.

I plan on ordering a couple of Drudkh albums soon. I'm leading towards Blood in Our Wells and Autumn Aurora.

You are now the third person I have heard say that. I might have to go hang out there one day and just chat with the guy.

Sounds like you have a keeper! My wife doesn't go to metal shows much with me anymore, outside of random shows like Rob Zombie where she likes the theatrics. She used to spend four hours picking out vinyl for me, but now I get ball warmers, desk top fidget toys, and other misc thoughtless gifts from a five minute trip to Brookstone at the mall.
