they seemed to be ahead of schedule, but they're having technical problems getting the mini-parade moving outside so they can stay on schedule

the only way they have stayed on schedule is because they quit making stops after jackson. They've had a police escort the whole way, but made a stop at an abandoned gas station on I55 and also stopped at the crossroads between clarksdale and oxford. After that, the producer ppl quit fricking around and probably realized that even though it was good tv for them to make stops, it was making them late timewise.

they've had a lot of technical problems behind the scenes in New Orleans.. the producer is having difficulty getting in contact with the talent & field producers, so the tension level in the control room has really gone up....

but i'm sure they'll be able to break the record

Yes. I live in BR.

I saw on Paste that the played a King Crimson cover, something off their new collaborative album, and Race for the Prize. Is that accurate? I would watch the link, but I am on my phone.

So, how did the gear work for these shows? Did they play on most of the opening bands stuff and just transfer guitars?

This seems like it would make for a cool DVD set.

I made it to the one in BR.

Givers played a great set. The Flaming Lips were just like hi and bye.

I get they had to go, and I knew that going in, but man was it ephemeral.
