I can't believe this thing, I really want to post some photos, but I am not at home, and I just have a cheap phone to take photos with, not even sure how to get them on the internet with it.

The fricking strings are at least 30 years old,and they have dropped rust in little cracks all over, got to clean all of that and put new strings when I get home tomorrow, then I'm gonna keep my wife awake all night playing.

It still has 2 new replacement springs for the tremolo in a little Fender envelope, with instructions for using different strings, and the original desi-pak in the case.

Congrats on the pickup...take pride cleaning the fretboard and take it somewhere to get a nice setup on it soon...

Nothing like a vintage guitar in great shape

Man, I am playing it a bit, strings are terrible, but the set-up seems to be just about perfect. I really have never been a strat guy,but this thing might change me.

When you take into effect what those out of phase switch positions can do, it's the most versatile electric there is, especially with the right pickups and effects.

I'm a tele guy and love my PRS but there's something special about a damn good strat.

Man I am with you on the tellies, have always thought of the strats as a bit ugly, but damn, like you said, this 5 position switch and whammy bar is killer.

On a side note, I also picked up a really rough Yamaha 12 string FG-230 this morning for a few bucks.
It has the Red Label with Nippon Gakki on it,thinking it is probably late 60s. It's had the hell played out of it,sounds great, but gonna have to bring the action down quite a bit.

Glad to hear the deal came together, a good strat is a need in every guitarist's arsenal and a good old one is even better. Congrats!

Congrats, that's a great axe...the 80s Strats.

The rusted strings, I hope, aren't the ones that have been there since!

I would bite the bullet and let a luthier do a full set-up before getting too attached too quickly. I'm sure the truss needs tweaking...probably a bit over several days, too.

Let a lady put on her face and dress up before you ravage her...the wait will be worth it.

Again, congrats.
