To me it's a cross between KNY and the self titled darkness

Well put. I wasn't big on Gore, in fact I probably haven't listened to it in 3 years while almost all the other albums have gotten love. This one however is definitely in that KNY vein of the band knowing what they do best and knocking it out of the park.

Whahhat?

I have "Hearts/Wires", "Prayers/Triangles" and "Phantom Bride" in regular rotation.

I listened to it 3 times the other night while i was writing code. Nothing really stuck out and grabbed me, like the other albums. I am going to listen to it a few more times. Maybe it will get better.

I pretty much felt the same thing when Gore came out. The muddy self production and Steph "not being present" as Chino said really stands out.

I will say this though, I went back through the discography building up to Ohms, and after revisiting Gore I enjoyed it more than I did back then.

Ohms is a masterpiece, every 10 years they knock it out the park, 2000 White Pony, 2010 Diamond Eyes, and 2020 Ohms. I'm excited for 2030.
