Not sure who is interested but next week, They are releasing a playback of David Gilmours concert at Circus Maximus in Rome last October in IMAX theaters. For those of you who did not get to see his tour last year, this is a full playback in IMAX of the concert.
I have tickets for the 17th in Clearwater. Really looking forward to seeing this playback.
Tickets
He has released a few singles on Youtube from the concert. Should be a excellent thing to see.
For those that dont know, Circus Maxiums in Rome is a old gladiator stadium. Typical Gilmour to play that kind of venue.

Thanks for the heads up. Pompei at IMAX was awesome.
I’m sure you’re probably aware, but Beato recently dropped a second interview with David. It’s pretty incredible to see him so open and relaxed in that long form interview.

I bookmarked that interview but I have now watched it yet. Looking forward to it

Pompei at IMAX was awesome.
I have the Pompeii concert on Blu-ray and it has a bunch of behind the scenes stuff that is great. I am honestly much of a sight see'er but I would love to go to Pompeii. I have been interested in it and what happened there since I become a Pink FLoyd fan in the 70's

Well we went to the film/concert Wednesday night. It was outstanding. I can only imagine how awesome that venue is live and in person. What a awesome place
As for the concert, it was very good. I am still somewhat surprised at how good Gilmour can be at damn near 80 years old. Now some of the songs were not as crisp as they were in years past but some of that is age and some is just design.
A few of the tunes were, as usual for me, better than the recorded tracks. I thought his new track, Scattered was way better than the released version. The live version was excellent. Classic Gilmour
Between two points, the track that Romany sings on, was also much better live. I have liked that song since they covered it but the live version just broiught it to life.
The Pipers Call was another song that was outstanding live and In Any Tounge is always better live. Im not sure if any version can be as good as the version he had at Pompeii. That guy that sung back up was amazing there.
They did a very interesting version of Great Gig where Louise Marshall kind of shocked up and jumped on the piano and played Richards part. She typically sings the vocals but only did a little back up. The other girls, including Romany, did more of a team effort on it. Was very nice...
I was looking forward to Marooned as it is one of my favorite Waterless Floyd tunes. I was not disappointed but due to the kind of song it is, I think the recorded version is just untouchable. And I think the Marooned is the best music video ever from Floyd. Perfectly executed. The live version of Marooned is not as clean which that song needs.
Overall I loved the concert and IMAX did a great job for us that could not be there. Looking forward to buying the bluray when it is available.
