Orpheum Theater on a Sunday. Hope he does some of the new songs he has been playing.

Really random dates for him. Wonder what he is up to. Headed to California to record?

I saw him the last time he was here, and I was disappointed it was a solo acoustic set. People on this board told me that he's been doing that for a while now. While it was good, it was missing the fantastic production and arrangements of many of his songs.

I saw him in Houston about 10 years ago with a full band, and it was one of the best shows I have seen. His music really translates well live.

Is there any info as to whether or not this will be solo or with a band? I'll probably go either way, since I'll know what to expect this time. Still I am hoping it's with a band.

Trusty and True is my favorite of his songs, and this live version is spectacular. When he played this in NOLA last time, he did some experimental sound with it that ruined it for me. It was a good show overall though.

really? it was one of the better shows i've seen and i've seen him twice with the live band.

100% sure this show will be him performing solo again.

yeah. to be clear I was disappointed it was a solo set, not with the show as a whole. He's still very good even rolling solo. The difference is that his music is so much more than just a singer and his guitar, and unfortunately that is lost without the band.

I think his solo show is great. A lot of the songs are better stripped down anyway, and he does a lot of stuff on stage with loops and other things to make it more interesting than your typical solo act.

It was a clusterfrick, but was eventually able to buy. Almost everything good available was in groups of 3 and they were making you buy either 1 or 3 of those groups. So dumb.

I am having problems too. It keeps telling me that someone beat me to the seats and then switches to another set and I get the same issue over and over.

Ticketmaster was terrible yesterday.

I managed to get box balcony seats though so I’m pretty happy.
