Craig Morgan has a couple of good ones on his new album, and Church's album Chief has some solid stuff. Other than that I'm drawing a blank.

I've been down on mainstream country music the past few years, but it seems like the past 12 months have been even worse.

I won't disagree with that, but I will say that they are still the best of the mainstream crop right now.
Country music has died a slow death. It needs to be revived. Until then I'll keep loading my iPod with songs from the 50s-90s and Texas/Red Dirt Country.
