He has some great songs out there. He also dips into the pop crap too on a few songs.

His last 2 albums have been slow-paced, mushy songs, and I don’t like most of it. My wife and I did do our first dance to “On My Way To You” though! Monday Morning Merle, Long-Haired Country Boy and his cover of Red Dirt Road were all really good.
His first two albums were stupid good.
I’m happy for his success because he deserves it. Some of my fondest/drunken memories were his smaller shows here in SETX. Shame I won’t ever see him in a smaller setting again.

Six Strings One Dream, A Different Day, and Cowboy Like Me are all solid albums beginning to end. I agree that some of his work on his last two have been meh, but it’s the same way for other guys I like such as Jon Wolfe and Aaron Watson. Their older stuff is great! I’ve never seen him in person. Does he focus more on his newer or older work? I know he enjoys doing covers. Any good ones when you saw him?

Ive seen him. He plays alot of his more liked songs from hisnewer albulm. He mixes in a few old favorites. He covered George Strait, Garth Brooks, Haggard, Chris LeDoux, and Cash

Yeah majority of his sets now are his new stuff. He will mix in diamond in my pocket, dance her home, ride with me, give a cowboy a kiss, never go home again. I’m sure he did a cover or two, but nothing I remember
