Not sure if common knowledge but had to share my disappointment this afternoon. Heard Etta James' "I'd Rather Go Blind" today and Chris Stapleton's version of "Tennessee Whiskey" is a ripoff of this song. Thought his take on this song was unique.

Take a listen to Joe Bonamassa and Beth hart doing I rather go Blind. Great version of the old classic.

There is a version with Maggie Koerner, Trombone Shorty, and Govt Mule. It fades a bit in the end, but it’s strong in the beginning.

I hate country and my wife was telling me how good this song was. She played it for me and 5 seconds in I said "This is a rip off of I'd Rather Go Blind" what a crock! She didn't believe me so I let her listen to Etta James and she agrees. lol

Tennessee Whiskey is a cover anyway.
