Yeah, the crowd seemed to dig her. She popped in for a few songs throughout the night.
They've been pretty slow getting the download posted, the show is still in "pre-order" mode. There's alot of stuff I'm stoked to hear again, but I particularly enjoyed the segue into LA Woman...
Maybe I was just happy to be there, because I hadn't seen 'em in nearly 15 years, but it really felt like they were on their game. I was worried they might bail when the rain started pouring, but they kept chugging along...

I went last year and it down poured on Friday July 3rd. Their set was delayed a little but it ended up being one of my favorite cheese shows. Me and my buddy just sat out in he middle of the rain while everyone else huddled along the sides.
From the pictures I've seen it looks like there was significantly less people at the shows then were there last year. I imagine it not being a Fourth of July show had something to do with that. Can anyone confirm?

I'd wager Saturday's show wasn't a sellout, but whenever it wasn't raining hard, it'd look like a good-sized crowd. Many people ducked for cover when it started pouring, so if any pics were taken then, it probably didn't look so packed. As far as the crowd goes...Wiki says Chastain holds approx 7000 people, and the Fox holds close to 5000....going by that, I'd say it was not a capacity crowd for Chastain, but it more than likely would've been too large a crowd for the Fox. I've got nothing scientific to confirm that, just the eyeball test, lol...

I'd like to hear a recap from just about anyone at this point, lol...the interwebs are pretty dark in regards to these shows, esp. Saturday.

Both of the shows are now up on Live Cheese, btw.

Thanks. I listened to the 7/8 show on a car trip today, and it's as good as I remembered. Kyle played alot of spacey & gooey synth riffs, only playing the electric piano sparingly. Of course Rhonda Thomas was great, the highlight being "Proud Mary", performed with the swagger of the Tina Turner version. A fun "Wanna Be Startin' Something" closed out the second set (also with Rhonda on lead vocals). Too many highlights, several good jams, and many shite-eating grins were in the stands that night

I'll be listening to both shows very soon. I'm superrrr bummed out that I had to miss this year. My good friend is going to see them next weekend at RR. fricking bummed that I have to miss that trip as well.
