Buckethead, any listeners??

Favorite guitarist. Ashamed many people think he's only a shred machine and devoid of emotion in his playing. He is a shredder, but his catalogue is much more diverse than just his known shred pieces. I'd go as far to say that I prefer his non shred pieces.
I missed the last 2 NOLA shows. If he ever stops in again, I will not.

Saw him open for Primus back in 1999 at state palace (Antipop) and they collaborated on a few songs each.
I was already a fan by then with that first monsters and robots album.
Havent really given him much thought since.

I like his stuff and while he is mainly a pentatonic shredder he does quite emotive pieces.
In relation to other instrumental greats I find his catalog slightly boring/limited but overall he is very good. Good stuff to listen to but I would rank him below others like Intervals, Polyphia, Chon, Petrucci, Marco Sfogli, etc who have more variety in their playing.
My favorites are Welcome to Bucketheadland and Hold Me Forever.
