Pretty stoked about seeing Tom Scholz for the first time.
Boston's signature sound was the layering of single-note guitar lines, often over acoustic guitar melodies.
If anyone has seen them live, I'm curious how they pull this off live. Do they feature other "lead" guitarists in their live act?

No Delp, and drummer just died too.
A shell of the original band.

Saw them in Shreveport at Municipal Auditorium in April, great show! The sound was incredible!

I saw them last summer, and the performance surpassed my expectations. The band was actually tighter than when I saw them on the Third Stage tour, as difficult that is for me to admit. Gary Pihl is the other guitarist, and he's been in the band for 30+ years.
All that "original band" talk is mostly smoke and mirrors. Barry punched in a handful of solos on the first two albums, Fran was involved on two songs in total, and Sib, while solid, mimicked the drum parts that were already laid down in advance. It was pretty much meant to be the "Scholz/Delp Project", but the record label thought the illusion of a full band would sell more albums. The so-called original band was really just the touring band, and those classic albums were mostly Scholz & Delp's babies.
That being said, since Scholz deserves alot of the credit, he also deserves alot of the blame, b/c the last two Boston albums are unlistenable pieces of shite...
