First 2 years of Bonnaroo were amazing
3rd year would've been if the weather cooperated
It had a good run through 08 or 09 I think although the earliest years were the best for my tastes.

$350 is a fricking crime. And they'll get those overnight campers by the balls too, who no doubt will be forced to cough up even MORE money for concessions.
When I went back in the beginning it was $120 for the whole weekend. I went three years and never once bought anything but a water from concessions. I lived on heady venders in the campsites and beer and water we brought in. That's probably against the rules now.

Yeah Sally,
I actually went back in 2011 (?), and had a blast.
It's hard to beat playing FIFA in an air conditioned sports bar watching the What Stage from a flat screen.
Times, they are a-changin'

I've never been, and will probably never go. At 45, music festivals aren't as much fun as they used to be. Nowadays I try to pick several good shows a year to go see and that's that.
It's a far cry from Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic, or spilling beer/getting beer spilled on at whatever rowdy Robert Earl Keen (or whomever) concert that I'm attending this month, twenty years ago.
My backyard, a good album on, and a single malt are just fine these days.

With Live Nation involved, I dread to hear what kind of rules are in place on the premises now, and no doubt it'll hurt many folks' wallets...

What do you mean by posers? I went in 2011 and there were a shite ton of weird people there.

I guess a "poser" is someone who'd say "Bonnaroo? Let's go!", then halfway to Tennessee ask "So, who's playing there?"....of course, I'm waxing a little hyperbole, but you get the idea.

Last year they had drones looking for drugs and cops all over the place and a bunch of edm and rap music.
Pass.

If whatever someone does is for superficial reasons moreso than personal reasons, then yes.

I went in 2013, 2014 and 2015. 2013 was the best lineup of the three years. Each year the lineup quality went down. 2016 and 2017 were way too mainstream for me. Roo, like most festivals, for the most part, are not booking EDM and jam bands any longer. Reminds me of a collaboration of Top 40 Radio bands.
