Agreed
Best thing to come out of them is Neal Casal via Chris Robinson Brotherhood

They´re like a bad Allman Brothers, without any creativity.
I mean to say, they´ve got chops, but are sooo blasé. Kind of like the Oooom Bop brothers on steroids.
Their biggest stuff are covers.

I have a love/hate thing with them. I find there are 3 versions of this band;
1. The one from SYMM and By Your Side which is really good Stones-ish rock and roll. I wish they kept more of that as a part of their sound. I realize to esoteric fans that's kind of a sacrilege.
2. The one from Southern Harmony, Amorica, Lions, etc., which to me is their strongest approach. Equally catchy and kind of tasteful and soul-influenced.
3. The later quasi-jam band stuff which I have zero use for. Meandering, tuneless, boring.
To me it seems like the diametrical approaches of 1 and 3 came to be the root musical conflict that busted them up. And the fact that Chris Robinson is obviously a major a-hole.
