That doesn't speak well for the 1999 and on time period. Before then you had the same amount of good hard to find music AND boatloads of good music on the radio and on the charts. That's the difference.
Allow me to show you how wrong you are:

what's your point? I say that theres a ton of good music out there, but it's buried behind top 40 party music.
Just because I don't like low hanging fruit, doesn't mean the music I listen to is bad by any means.
observe the billboard charts above.

I'm not saying I didn't like the music of the 80s, just that I'll take other decades over it.
I Liked the 70's and 90's better but still thought the 80's were pretty damned interesting.

The point is you get your feelings hurt anytime anyone says your music is mundane and start calling their views "retarded." One of the great things about art, not everyone has the same tastes. Don't take it so personal. You seem to be of the opinion that everyone is lazy and has shitty taste in music. Except you.

Fact is when people say "music sucks now!", they are lazy and don't have a good memory.
it's a sweeping ignorant generalization.

Great thing about those days, there were radio stations that catered to rock music and not pop .

There you go again, getting your feelings hurt because your opinion isn't validated.
The radio scene was pretty much the only media we had to listen to music in the 70's. Radio rock was infinitely better.

my feelings aren't hurt in the least bit
i'm showing you that pop music in the last 40 years hasn't been anything different from now
except maybe autotune and computers doing most of the work in the studio.

I don't give a shite about top 40 stuff and it's pretty irrelevant to the discussion. Top 40 stuff has always sucked and always will.

ok but that was what was being said
"ALL Music sucks now"
"ALL Music sucks now"

Who the frick said this? You are arguing a bunch if shite at once. I sure as hell didn't say it. Maybe try to keep your arguments relative to the person you are actually arguing with.

Point is, not "all music" sucks in 2012. That's a ridiculous all encompassing statement.

Whatever decade you were growing up in. Most people will argue that the music in their teenage years was the best ever.
Not for me. I like the music of the 70's, 80's and 90's. Not sure I could say one is better than the other.
70's for me. The late 60's inspired me for the 70's. I guess for most it depends on how each era defined their life. The 70's did it for me. The 50's were awesome though. The 80's were great too. the 90's [because of the life I chose] took me into a country type mode. The 2000's I could care less. I am stuck [and comfertable] with what I like.

LOL wut? I saw shite tons of quality music in the 70's billboards (Beatles, Three Dog Night, Janis Joplin, Rolling Stones, The Temptations, James Taylor,Don Mcclean, Bill Withers, Steve Miller Band,The Eagles, Hall and Oates,)...... If anyting, you hurt your argument by posting that. Look Doc, we understand that there is good music out there.. Hell i listen to alot of new stuff, but there is no way that good music is as prevalent as it was in decades past.
