Beato does the best interviews. He digs deep into the nerdy stuff of how the music is created and recorded, and Billy is always a fascinating interviewee.

Caught that interview a few days ago, its been decades since I sat down and listened to Billy do any kind of media.

I like listening to him more now, and I love listening to important 90s album production stories.

Also feel like I would have enjoyed a Rick and Jimmy Chamberlain interview as well on the production subject. Actually, I wish Rick would interview all 3 of those producers Billy talked about.

Between those 3 producers, look at the albums they worked on..Alan Moulder, Flood and Butch Vig, imagine sitting down with them and going over an album of their work that you could poll an audience with..that would be amazing content.

Absolutely. I was obsessed with Flood and would grab anything he produced. Granted I was big into industrial back then, which he was a big part of. You could always tell a Flood produced industrial record, because it had a depth and feel to it that the other generic stuff didn’t

His list is really impressive, my 1st guitar player who i met on the 1st day of 3rd grade loved U2 and that Joshua Tree album. I found out about NIN through his older brothers and then TDS came out and was mind blowing to me at the time.

..can add Terry Date to that list too. Id like to hear about Pantera, White Zombie, Soundgarden, etc as well

He really is. At 5:25 of his Joe Rogan interviewyou get a short lesson on the why of so many band fights and break ups.

At the beginning of the video, Billy's body language is all tense and not sure he wants to be there.

Not long into the video, Rick has disarmed him with the quality of his questions and his general knowledge of all things music.

Of his best interviews yet, imo.

Wish he would get an interview with Reznor going over his catalog of 1989-1999..

Jerry Cantrell probably has some good stories too

Just wondering about this..

For decades I didnt know Billy's entire left hand was a birthmark. Feel like I've seen him a lot over the years lol..a lot of long sleeves early in his career. Anybody else not realize?
