I always thought the Neil Young/Skynyrd deal was misunderstood and that they actually all got along. Maybe?

tl; dr: Big misunderstanding. They all liked each other.
Ronnie Van Zant wore a Neil Young T-shirt all the time. And Young has said that "Sweet Home Alabama" is a much better song than "Southern Man" and that Skynyrd recorded a version of "Powderfinger"
