Can or will you use the Quad as a pre-amp? and just buy an amp. Or are you looking to replace the Quad with another integrated amp?

No, the Black Cube is a phono preamp. An integrated amp (the Quad Vena) combines a preamp and amplifier in one case. So all of your inputs (analog and digital) are part of the preamp. If the Quad has analog output then you can continue using the Quad as a preamp and output through those ports to a standalone amplifier.

I just checked the Quad website, and you do have a set of Pre Output ports, so you can continue using the Quad as a preamp.

I'm not great at recommending new equipment, I'm still using a 40+ yr old McIntosh amp. But ones that I've heard or read about in that price range; I would look at Odyssey Khartago, Emotiva, Parasound, NuPrime (class D). Each will have models in the $1000 range.

If your willing to go used, then you have some other options. Look on Audiogon or US Audiomart.

Well, they're Klipschorns...maligned by many, loved by many others.

They don't need much power, but they're still fussy about what amp you use.

Ah...ok...I didn’t realize you were posting specs on a horn—-it seemed crazy high for a cone speaker.

Yep—you can rock and roll K-horns with 10 Watts.

They make really good subs, as does JL Audio.

As for SVS, I am only familiar with their SB-16 and SB-13...the 13 may be in that price range.

Thinking about grabbing 2 t9i and waiting to hear back from the amp he's not wanting to drop the price, I talked with music direct they suggested the peachtree nova 150 for my price range, do any of you guys know or have any experience with that. Thanks for your time planning on purchasing everything end of the week, really excited about these REL subs

Exactly what I thought they were when I saw the specs. I had a pair of Heresy II for a long time. My son has them now.

REL makes a nice sub. Why two?

Placement can be a bitch with one and near impossible with two depending on the room.
