Holy shite! Awesome to see someone else on here aware of that fact. Indeed they did. 1986 but that's a minor error.

They were opening for Saxon. I was a huge fan of both and right down front. It was a bit of a sacrifice but also pretty much a no-brainer, as I knew LSU would be playing again on Saturday with a win, and if a loss, then not a huge loss to go to the concert instead. Fantastic show it was too. I was right up front dead middle the whole night.

Armored Saint was hanging out on their bus with pretty much an open door after the show. Had brought my Delirious Nomad album just in case I had the chance and they all signed it. Gonzo was cool as hell and talking about how "fricking awesome" Lousiana was. Good fricking times.

Saw them again at a club here in Jax in like '91.

Yes, it's my club. Some of my memory is hazy though, lol.

Ahh. Gotcha man. Very cool.

I moved away in ‘90 but saw a bunch of good shows there from ‘85 or so until then, starting with Molly Hatchet. Trying to remember all of them. Blackfoot, Zebra, BOC. Might be missing one or two.

Oh it was. Only 1000 seats. They were freakin kids and they were all f8cked up on god knows what. Jackie Lawless and Chris Holmes fell down repeatedly. This was also a Cliff Burton show. Only time I ever say Metallica with Cliff.

Yeah this was four years before he died. I was also lucky enough to see them with Cliff, but as openers for Ozzy on the Master Of Puppets tour in ‘86. Would love to have seen them headline with Cliff.

Oh and AlbinoGator is correct...
