Apple lossless apps and general help needed

What are some good apps for listening to offline music files?
I'm new to Apple and have used Android for all my life. I've downloaded VOX but they don't have an EQ except for paid version which is pretty expensive for just an EQ. I hate the Apple Music app. I have a great headunit for my car that I set up but the Airpods are a little flat sounding and need some umph to them.
I use Airpod Pros and have some Phillips SHP9500s for wired headphones. Don't currently have an external DAC because I mainly listen on my computer which has a decent soundcard.
Any tips to make my music sound as good as my gear can achieve would be great.
This is what triggered this thought.

If your FLAC files are hi-res (in other words, they exceed the CD standard of 16-bit/44.1kHz) you have another consideration too: The limitations imposed by Apple’s DACs (digital-to-analog converters) built into iOS devices. Whether you listen via the headphone jack on older iPhones, or via the lightning-to-3.5mm adapter that comes with newer iPhones, Apple’s DAC will step down the quality to a maximum of 24-bit/48KHz. This means you won’t be able to hear true hi-res audio, even if your audio files are encoded to hi-res specifications.

You need to bypass the PLAYER in iTunes to get the higher resolution. You can store 24 bit/192k in iTunes—you just can’t play them with The iTunes player (frigging Apple for ya!!).
You can buy a program like Audirvana or Amarra that will store and playback the higher resolution file (it still needs to be sent to a DAC, whether in your sound card or external)...also, these programs will auto switch back and forth to best resolution as native file resolutions change among songs.
Hope I didn’t confuse you.

Nope, I understood. Is there no way to have a global EQ player for the phone and not just a single player? I came from Android with Viper4Android and it was the best thing ever.
So to understand, Apple Music defaults to a max 24 bit/ 48kHZ but if I use an app like I have been with VOX, it goes up to the resolution of the file? So in a good amount of cases for mine it's 24bit/ 96kHZ.
I do not use Itunes to listen to music. I'd rather not use that awful program. I try to use Plex or VLC at home with Equalizer APO on Peach GUI.
I'm mainly concerned with iPhone apps and workarounds.

Funny...I was researching the global EQ thing on the plane ride home yesterday...and, no, there is no such animal for iPhone...at least that I can find.
