Was wanting to paint my cab mesh in the design of the carpet from the overlook hotel in the shining.
Wondering if anyone here has experience as to which kinds of paints to buy, etc.

I would imagine it would have to have a good primer coat first to allow it to stick

If the existing grille cloth is removable (not as hard as you'd think on many amps and cabs), why not replace the existing grille cloth with that print in fabric? It's cheaper than buying the rattlecan colors you need, you're ensured a pattern and color match, and you'll have extra fabric should you get a big tear and wish to recover. You'll just have to round up a loaner staple gun.

Here's where the staple gun comes in handy ...
Tip: Be aware that some amps' grill cloth are not on screwed on frames, but on detachable wood frames/panes held on by hook and loop instead. Those can be pulled off with gentle force and even easier to remove, recover and reinstall.

The cab I would be using is an orange ppc412. Black frame. Exactly this
It's mesh is unique, I just wanted to keep the original components and be creative. Thought about using an uberkab but I think the Orange has a "feel" that makes more sense to honor a "vintage" appeal.

Will be using a mesa triple rec on it that I'm wanting to make match. I was wanting to oversize the pattern on the mesh, (keeping the original mesh looks better imo) and using the fabric over the diamond plate on the head for this upcoming tour.
