Anyone ever been to a Umphrey's McGee show?

They are playing Nashville (Ryman at that) tonight and I'm looking for something to do. Dont know how I've never heard of them other than being a southerner. Phish vibe?

They are hit or miss. The hits are pretty good, the misses are painful. I wish they would get rid of Jake.

They are great. I've seen em about 10 times, and its been great every time. You crazy, Trey, Jake is amazing, and a super nice guy taboot.

I don't hate phish I just don't particularly like them. But what's so questionable about saying that the 5-6 times I've seen UM they were legit? What I find even more interesting is your hatred for seemingly every band not named Phish.

I am very well rounded in my musical interests. Phish isn't even my favorite band, mon. I do, however, think that they still have the best live show in this galaxy.

I've always readily admitted that I have never seen phish live and have always acknowledged the potential for them to change my mind when and if I do.

I'm thoroughly surprised if you can't find a better show in nasheville than umphrey's mcgee. they're okay live if you actually enjoy jam bands.

Eh, Seeing a show in Ryman was a lot of the appeal. Never been. Just here every now & then for biz. I do enjoy jam bands. I have never seen or heard them before. Did enjoy. They are very talented and dynamic. Probably not going to rush out and get their whole catolog, but I want to listen some more.
