Sounds nice, care to post pics of this rig?

How much of an improvement was the Callaham bridge over stock?

I like the Callaham block. The one I took out was a good bit less massive. In fact, I can recommend all Callaham replacement parts. They make stuff better than the original in a lot of cases.

I don't have a real good photo of the finished guitar but here it is with some of my other ones.

And here's a shot of it after I was done but before I strung it up.

It is. The bridge is a dead giveaway. I think it's a DY-59 but I'll verify that when I get home tonight and edit this if it's wrong.

That's been my main acoustic for years and I really like it. But a couple of months ago I bought a Taylor 612ce for playing fingerstyle and that thing is magnificent. The only problem is that I don't play the Yairi enough now.

Well, the right thing to do,would be give it away,to an underprivledged opelikan.

I was considering a black pick guard for that '63 strat I was talking about earlier in the thread. I went with the mother of pearl though.

I think in your case, the mother-of-pearl looks better with the rosewood fingerboard. Nice axe!!

Edit: to illustrate what I mean, here is a picture (of a picture) I took of Gilmour playing the Black Strat when it had a rosewood fingerboard. I think it looks much better now with the maple neck. [That photo was taken in 1977 at the Pink Floyd show at the PMAC.]
