Animal Collective - New Album Out Sept 29

The new album "Isn't it Now?" seems like it may be more of a return to form for this group, and will be the longest album they've ever recorded, at over 60 minutes. There are two songs released:
Soul Capturer - This song sounds like it could have been on Feels or some of their early stuff.
Defeat - This is a 22 minute epic song and sounds a lot like something from Meriwether or earlier.
While I liked that they tried something different and didn't seem to use any samples on Time Skiffs, it just didn't do it for me. These two songs have me excited for the new material.
I've been listening to Fall Be Kind EP a lot lately. I forgot how good this EP was that came out right after Meriwether. Give it a listen if you haven't already.

While it wasn’t on par with their 00s peak, I enjoyed Time Skiffs a good bit (also really liked Panda Bear’s solo album last year). Definitely looking forward to this one. Going to try and avoid the singles though so I can go in fresh.
