American Aquarium, a review

Saw them at the Georgia Theater this weekend.
Long story short, I only started diving in to their music about 6 weeks back, and we'll just say I had relatively low expectations of having a great time and a relatively unfavorable opinion of BJ Barham.
We definitely see life through different lenses, but credit where its due:
That dude can flat out rock his arse off. Awesome show. If you get a chance to see them, do it. He even spent God knows how long at the merch table shaking hands and taking pictures with everyone who wanted to after the show. Just seemed to be a pretty cool guy.
Also, Athens seems to be a beautiful town, and the Georgia Theater is a great venue.

they were very complimentary towards athens. BJ is a big fan of the city.
I think with the new band he has a new outlook on things now and has more energy about playing music than he did before.
couple that with he's sober and not trying to sleep with every girl in each town and his focus is more honed in

Saw them in Houston in December and never met a more gracious musician. You can tell he’s appreciative of the support.
