It seems they have transitioned from Alternative hard rock, to almost full on metal. But I like where their music is going. They can still keep a melody that's for damn sure. What do you all think about the single and where they are going with their style and what not?

Like. Love me some Miles Kennedy. He's a rockin roller. That song is a little more aggressive. I'll like them either way. Can't wait to hear some more new stuff.

Do you think the more aggressive style is better for I guess their success going forward? I think the reason they are more aggressive is partially due to tremonti. If you listen to his solo project, you can tell what he likes. I have a feeling they are gonna hit it big with this one though.

I hope it does wonders for them. commercial success however is measured in ways I cant come to terms with sometimes. You know, on a side note, living in Houston one would think the demand for rock would be more prevalent. I mean, it's a big f'ing city. I can't remember the last time I've heard Alter Bridge on the station. You know what plays 10-15 times a day, though? The Neighborhood Sweater Weather song. Houston's rock station.

There's a reason why their releases come first in other countries and they tour there more often. They're a top 3 hit in Europe.

That songs rip pretty hard. I say keep going further into metal. MK's voice is perfect for that style.

I approve. The rhythm during the verse sounds very similar to Wish You Well from Marks solo album. I can't wait for the album to drop. I guarantee this song will pale in comparison to the rest of the album. Really looking forward to Cry of Achilles, Waters Rising, and Fortress.

Word on the street is fortress is gonna be a lot like blackbird as far as the scale of the music. The band described it as an "epic"

Oh, and yeah. I think the solo project had a lot of influence on this album.

Oh, no doubt. Also, having Baskette produce for them the last 3 albums may be the best move they have made, other than bailing on those cock suckers at windup and universal.

This being the age of digital music, I think the days of albums going platinum are over. Alter Bridge doesn't have the following in the US for that to be in the realm of possibility anyway. That's ok, our bros and sisters in Europe are doing work. I'll still buy a hard copy and download it on I-tunes.

Like the poster said earlier....this whole album is a Myles showcase. This type of music and metal is what his voice was truly made for. I love tenors in hard rocking bands like this

It's kind of odd because Creed went 11 platinum 1 diamond with the human clay and the music was incredibly simple. That's unheard of.

Did this song leak or did the band just release it? Because the single wasn't supposed to be released on radio till August 20.

Yeah.... I was a fan of Creed when they first came on the scene back in 1998, before they became commercial, Scott Stapp turned into a douche bag, and Windup Records became greedy and tyrannic. But, I digress. I don't really listen to Creed anymore. And I am oh so thankful the 09' reunion didn't destroy Alter Bridge.
